Sunday at 2pm on ESPNU
YALE didn’t play Dartmouth yesterday. Why? Can we infer that if Dartmouth plays today that it was Yale?
Seems that since Jarvis went out five weeks ago that Yale went into a funk. Will he be back? What is/was his injury?
Swain is more up and down than I recall. Shooting 34.7% from 3 is low for him. Assume it’s because he’s carrying a larger load for the team this year.
Better size matchups for us. We focused on Choh and Gainey yesterday and got burned for 15 3’s.
A win would really help with 3 easier games coming up.

Yes, it was in the announcement that the postponement was due to virus issues in Yale's program.

Thanks!
So, they can play on Sunday but not Friday? All? Some? Enough?

Ugh.
Seemed strange that they would play Sunday but not Friday.
Hopefully it allows Ledlum and Forbes to play back into shape

Looking forward, the Crimson are on the road next weekend at Cornell and then at Columbia and Dartmouth the weekend after. Hopefully Mason can start to play himself into shape and some others can get their legs back. Ledlum and Sakota seemed out of sorts vs Brown, though I must clarify that I don’t know who had been ill with Covid. Wonder if Ledlum was injured vs Howard.
Anyway, this season’s C’s and D will all be tough, especially on the road. Time to turn this around!

6 out of next 7 are on the road (unless postponed Yale game is slotted in). Will need real production from both Forbes and Sakota.

It's going to be a scrum to see who makes the tournament. Posters have assumed 7 teams were in the running, but if we can't beat Columbia this Saturday the race expands.
Wonder how it works if every team ends up 7-7?

Faucher on the Dartmouth broadcast was making an argument for all 8 making it anyway. He basically said it wasn’t fair to have so much ride on who is in covid protocol. Though I guess that was before Dartmouth playing without Samuels went and beat a full Brown squad.

An 8 team tournament would set a precedent it would be hard to revert away from.
Is the league ready for that?

There's no way the league expands the tournament this season barring disaster, as in many games can't be rescheduled in time. And with the last two weekends of the season scheduled as single-game weekends (admittedly seeing some rescheduling already), it's hard to see the path where the Covid situation was bad enough that enough makeup games couldn't be completed those two weeks but not bad enough to disrupt getting all eight teams in the same place for a tournament.
Fully agree on the precedent point though, which is why I'm really interested in seeing if this conversation has legs.

That would only render the regular season meaningless. It's bad enough the 4-team tournament has locked in that precedent. This league has never fielded a second entry into The Dance. Let the season Champion play. Maybe we will if the money guys (ESPN) ever expand Madness to a 96-team field.
