Tomorrow at 2 PM at Sojka:

Pomeroy makes BU a 5-point favorite, but that sounds way high given that HC has been playing pretty well lately. Current PL standings:
Colgate . . . 9-2
Navy . . . 9-4
Boston University , 8-5
Loyola Maryland , 7-6
Army West Point , 7-6
Lehigh . . . 7-6
Holy Cross . . 5-6
Lafayette . . 4-7
Bucknell . . 3-10
American . . 2-9

In order to win the PL Tournament, I believe a confidence needs to be built, where winning consecutive games seems doable. Losing to this Holy Cross game would diminish that mindset in my opinion

Scotty— thanks for your optimistic thoughts but the parallels here are not strong. That HC team made multiple changes during the year and somehow mastered the trapping 1-3-1 zone defense that gave PL opponents fits down the stretch. The defense and the steals/caused turnovers gave HC a lot of confidence that they could beat anybody.
We seem to run the same MTM defense and allow a lot of shots, with too many turnovers on offense while forcing very few turnovers. Don’t see a comparison here. The 1-3-1 works best with tall, athletic wings who can deflect passes and trap. We don’t have that type of 6-5 or 6-6 wing.

And honestly, the league was stronger when HC made that run, so they had to have some talent and quality team play to make it happen. I haven’t seen much quality team play from this edition of the Bison.

An observation. Would it kill players to stand respectfully during the playing of the national anthem? Do you really need to stretch, fix your pants, bend over and fix your socks during that 90 seconds?? Speaking of the Bucknell bench.

Maybe a good time to bring back that 3-2 matchup from 2017....What do we have to lose, right?

What is a "zone"?
