But the what the heck is going on here.
Dartmouth beats Harvard on the road 60-59. Dartmouth was ridiculous from three for most of the game, including a Cornish 4-pt play, a Robinson bomb off one foot to beat the half court buzzer, and one Cornish hit from Medford as the shot clock wound down.
With all of that, it came down to the last possession. Harvard with no timeouts and a chance to win. After a scramble, Harvard lost track of the game clock and didn't get a shot off.
Dartmouth is now 3-2 in the league and if the season ended today (which sadly it doesn't) would be in its first ever Ivy tourney.

No, please keep calling it shocking.
My own opinion is that teams are still overlooking Dartmouth and thinking that merely showing up will be enough. Eventually they will start taking us seriously and the magic will run out.
But it's fun to enjoy it while it lasts!!

Winning at Harvard is pretty darn impressive. Yale probably took you lightly, but Penn and especially Harvard did not.
I'm going to revise my prediction from the other day - Dartmouth is a legit contender for that 4th Ivy Madness spot. Yale and Harvard are in trouble.

First time Dartmouth is above .500 this late into league play since 2009
First time Dartmouth beat both H/Y on the road since 1999

I think we'll know how likely Dartmouth is to make the tourney after the first week in February, when they have the Brown/Yale back-to-back. At best they could clinch the tiebreaker over Yale and put themselves in the driver's seat for the 4 seed, at worst they could lose the tiebreaker to Brown and will need to beat at least two of Princeton/Cornell/Penn to make up the ground.
But you have to give McLaughlin and the players credit for turning things around after that disappointing noncon, even if they end up missing out on the postseason.

YMMV, but some of us were pleasantly surprised that we got decent wins against UTSA and Bakersfield.
Would have been nice to get a few more(**coughIncarnateWord **cough), but I'm fairly confident that Dartmouth has not had a winning nonconference season in this century. And some of us were openly speculating early on whether we'd win a game at all this season...

True if you don't count non-D1 games -- 9-7 in 2018-19 with two non-D1s, 7-6 in 2001-02 with one

I only count non-D1 games if they are losses.

Playing out the schedule, Dartmouth's almost certainly going to be in playoff contention until the final two games now. Even if all they do is sweep Columbia and lose to everyone else in the meantime, that's 5-7 with Penn and Harvard remaining, which is probably a control-your-own-destiny spot unless Brown and Yale both make big runs.

Amazing how winning games makes it easier to qualify for the tournament!
A shame we haven't tried that strategy earlier....
