f you believe in the old adage that there's no substitute for experience, then Lehigh and American U. may be in for good times on the hardwood this year. Maybe it's no coincidence then that the two were picked in preseason polls to finish atop the league.
Lehigh said goodbye to one senior, B. White, while American bid farewell to two, T. Lay and R. Penny. White logged 858 minutes of playing time for Lehigh (14.1% of the team's 6076 minute total), while Lay and Penny combined for 764 (11.6% of AU's 6599 minute total).
Lehigh was the youngest team to compete in the PL last year when measured by freshmen and sophomores playing time. The LU underclassmen logged 61.2% of team minutes played.
Viewed by senior points per game (ppg) and rebounds per game (rpg), the numbers are even more startling.
