This was before my time at Bucknell, but the term is spoken with reverance and awe. 250 words or less, Who were the breakin' Bison?

so I have seen pretty much every team since the 1950's, and that is plenty of basketball,,, the Charlie Woollum era in the 80's was the fastest, end to end, up and down the court , high scoring, great foul shooting, exciting basketball in Davis Gym, great players, with a goal, outscore the opponent. Charlie always recruited very good shooters and then taught them is style of play, The Breakin Bison,,,,always funny to me, Pat Flannery, a great point Guard on Charlie's teams, played this style up tempo but when he coached the Bison, the match up Zone was his game, both systems worked

I had the opportunity to see most of Al Leslie's , Davis Gym games,,,, and some years ago at Towson University , I talked to Al, my chance to tell him, "you are the best player , I have seen on any Bucknell team", , He thanked me. I got to see, all the Danzig, Harley, Erickson Flanigan, Thompson games late 50's early 60's, and the Jim Vulvano , coached games. Sadly this was the first year since my US Army days, no Men or Women's Basketball. The bottom line, from way back than until this time, I have had a chance to see many more good teams then bad one's, what more could a fan hope for. Go Bison!

Mike Bright was a breakin’ Bison. JR too. I’ve mentioned this before but across all positions and eras, I think JR Holden was the best player who ever played at Bucknell.

It was impressive how many points the Bison would score without the 3 point shot.

I am happy to say that I saw MANY Breakin' Bison games in the 1980s. TONS of fun to watch that style of ball.
