We lose 73-60, Murphy with 19, De La Rosa with 17. Despite the defeat (mostly because we can't compete inside with their two seven footers), this was the best game we have played. The defense and pursuit seemed better, and there were parts of the game where we played quite well.
Nweke was also described as returning in several weeks.

I was not impressed by BC. They were a beatable team. Yet we are simply incapable of blocking out. They had something like 15 offensive rebounds to 2 for us. But here is what really concerned me. We could have stolen this game with about 3 minutes to go but seemed not to have any game plan at that time. We should have been fouling right away with about 2 minutes to go but let BC run down the clock. And instead of substituting on each possession and getting our best shooters all on the court he played Bolster for at least the last 5 minutes. So what else did I see—if he gets good looks Murphy is a very good 3 point shooter-he can average 40%. We badly miss Nweke—our rebounding is poor. We are not a good defensive team—we have no real defensive identity. If we do not have enough athletes to play man to man let’s try a zone.

Whether you were impressed by BC is neither here nor there. BC is ranked in the 150s or so and we are in the 300s. BC was favored by 18.
We played good to very good D today. Our rebounding was indeed terrible.

Although I may want some details, I turn down the volume for the C p-b-p man for fb and MBB; the commentators on both fb and bb have interesting things to say. The women's crew is listenable.

48 to 28; 19 to 4– those are the total rebound and offensive rebound stats. Of course some of that is size but some of that is a stunning inability to box out. While they were bigger we aren’t a team of midgets. Hopefully Ike will be back for the IL season. As far as the last few minutes, we had no apparent strategy.
