Colgate is favored by 17 points. In the history of the Patriot League, the Bison have never been that big an underdog before.

That lead lasted as long as ND’s plate of food at the Town Tavern.

I promised I wouldn’t food shame anymore. Remember Jamion Christian won’t be our next head coach because people on this fan board (me) make fun of Davis for hitting the soft serve machine at Hoss’s too much.
I was actually just thinking that if you’re up 16 and then blow that lead maybe changing defenses to stop the other team from scoring would be an interesting thing to try. But listen. What do I know? I mean Funk was Player of the Week.

A timeout to try and stop the bleeding would’ve also been nice.

Screen needs someone who can coach a big man. He’s as rad as he was when he got here just older and stronger. The next time he attempts a layup at the rim instead of dunking it strong he should do 25 pushups.

Birdsong's enthusiasm with this team is as comical as a nun at a town carnival. It isn't doing it for me and it took me a long time to get here. This team is actually not bad but their talent isn't allowed to shine.

We’re up by 12 with 5 minutes left. Can we cover the 16.5 point spread after being up by 13?
Nah.
UPDATE: Andre Screen with the winning flat footed hook shot to keep the margin at 14. That was close. The Bison covered the largest known spread in program history with a buzzer beater. Davis should definitely get an extension.

Since leading 27-11 halfway through the first half, Colgate outscored Bucknell 72-42. I didn’t watch the game but It sounds like Davis and staff didn’t do much to change momentum. Too bad Screen isn’t getting solid coaching. I know he has a ton of emotional and mental weight on him, but on the court, in some ways he seems like he’s regressing. Just doesn’t seem like Bucknell’s staff knows what to do with him.

More specifically, for about three minutes midway through the first half, Colgate outscored Bucknell 14-0. Then after a couple of minutes of fairly even play, Colgate then proceeded to outscore the bison 15-2 during a 4:15 segment in the latter part of the half. That’s a 29-2 margin over two closely connected segments.

Phillie I can’t comment on what Screen is going through. I only know some people like to channel their grief into their craft, work, hobby, sport, or other places in order to cope with the pain.
As for the Bison team, this is repetitive but it’s hard to watch and more difficult to explain why a human being is so obstinate he’s unwilling to try anything else to win. Davis shouldn’t be the coach of a head of cauliflower at this point. Whatever he says at a post game press conference should make every Bison fan irate.
