According to pre-game show on 790 the Score, Ndur had surgery on knee and is out, as is Anya with broken finger, and Friday for undisclosed reason. Big challenge today. Go Bears!!

I like the Cornell commentators, but at this point I think they are purposely inventing new ways to mis-pronounce Owusu-Anane's last name.

Commendable effort by the short handed Bears. Cornell is a well coached, physical team that plays a long bench and was able to wear the Bears down, despite missing their second leading scorer. The Big Red shot 59% in the second half, with much of their scoring coming inside where Brown really missed Anya and Ndur. They were also able to clamp down on Nana defensively.
Wojcik has really stepped up the last few games to support Lily in the scoring department. He had 22 today while Lily had 17. Nana, who has become a good inside scorer of late, was held to 9 points today. The Bears were out rebounded 42 to 34, which is not surprising considering our depleted frontcourt.
If Ndur and Anya are done for the year, that will be tough to overcome during the second half of the season. A very unfortunate development considering the Bears were really hitting their stride as a cohesive team. Their recent efforts made them a strong contender for a one of the 4 Ivy Playoff berths in this ultra competitive league season. But with 6 of the last 8 games on the road, the Bears have a very stiff challenge.

Ndur is gone for the year. Anya may be back. I don’t know what the situation is with Friday, but we certainly missed him.

Yeah tough spot with our frontcourt depth. And Friday is the next big body you need when you play with only two big guys. So his absence tonight killed us in the o-boards. Cooley had a rough time on the boards having to play down there.
