The Bears were terrible last night. That is a very bad way to kickoff a season after a playoff birth in the previous one.

Davenport started at right tackle for the Dolphins yesterday. Unfortunately for Julien the Dolphins are tanking and got their doors blown off by the Ravens yesterday. |

Dolphins look like they could be one of the worst NFL teams in many years. Tanking is an understatement. At some point the NFL may need to do what the NBA and NHL have done to minimize tanking, i.e. a draft lottery where the worst team doesn't necessarily get the top pick.

Imagine if the NFL had a relegation system like the English Premier League? |

Imagine if the NFL had a relegation system like the English Premier League? But then, Miami would have to go back to the college level and lose to LSU and U of Alabama!

If he is not claimed for anyone’s active roster, he may end up back on the Bears practice squad.

Julien played every offensive snap for the Dolphins on Sunday but hyperextended his knee today in practice. Reportedly not season-ending but he may go on the injured reserve, with a return at mid-season if that happens. Btw, I meant to mention earlier that both Anderson and Davenport made All-PL all four years - 1st team three of the four years. Only a few PL players in history can claim that record.

2020 season update: Anderson just got signed to the Vikings practice squad and Davenport is a backup tackle for the Dolphins. |

It’s good for Julien that he has remained relatively healthy. His first NFL contract was for four years, with the majority of the salary coming in year four (2020), if he made it that far. Thus he is making more than $2.1 million this season. He is now backing up Austin Jackson, a rookie left tackle from Southern Cal who was the Dolphins’ first round draft pick this year. Abdullah is currently paid about $142,000 - the standard for practice squad players. It rises to $610,000,if he gets moved up to the regular roster.
