First half looked a lot like recent games. Fast starts thanks in large part to the opponent shooting poorly. Timmerman looks much better against this level of competition. Rice needs to be on the court all the time and this subbing for the sake of subbing needs to stop. It should have stopped years ago but it’s particularly the case on a team with little depth. Regardless of his 7 3’s in a losing effort last week, Funk needs benched if he’s going to wildly throw up 3’s 5 seconds into the shot clock. What would it look like with Timmerman and Screen on the court at the same time? Edmonds has a promising career. His defense needs to improve every college freshman needs the same. |

Since taking their biggest lead 31-16 with 5:47 to play in the half, Bucknell had five turnovers, shot 1-8 from the floor, and was outscored 19-2. Murray, at 6’ has 9 rebounds. |

Terry Conrad seems to always find a reason to complain about Andre Screen. Every crappy entry pass was on Screen for example. He seems to think Screen doesn’t help people get him the ball. If true, isn’t that coachable? |

Elvin! Give this guy minutes for a few games and then start him! |

We have a 10 pt. lead with about 5 minutes to go. If we deflate like we did the first two games that will be concerning. |

Nice win for the Bison! There was some sloppy play and careless ball handling that can be cleaned up. Funk played like a senior leader tonight. He was poised at the end and restrained himself from shooting wildly. The Bison went deeper into the shot clock and swung the rock around much better in the second half. The defense was ugly but I think that is in part to having to play a lot of young guys. |

Great come back by the team after the shaky end to the 1st half. Screen and Rice played great. Rhoads also had a nice game. That's one! |

Great win. I'd love to see a rematch in Cancun. It could happen. Both teams win tonight in that they are going to Cancun. |

Great to see a convincing win vs a solid team with Funk barely scoring at all. Screen and Rice rebounded well off of last game, and some other players emerging. What has made us strong over the last decade was not relying on one superstar but having a balanced attack. Agree wholeheartedly on the substitution points, but nice to see many different guys contributing to a win! |

Was nice to see the guys regroup and pull away a bit. Concerning that a team with a size disadvantage outrebounded the Bison, but overall guys played well. Of course things always look better when some shots fall. Rice is definitely improved. Entry passes to Screen need lots of work, particularly Rhodes. I like Edmonds and Adoh, even though Josh shot poorly tonight. JVH needs to rebound better. |

Good win against a decent team. I for one have no desire to play them again in Cancun. Unlike some on this board, I am seeing a lot to like about this team. Mota, a reputed 3pt machine has been anything but so far. If he finds himself that could be huge. Agree that the drop off from Screen to Timmerman is not very noticeable against this level of competition. We may in fact have two solid big men. I too was wondering what it might look like with both on the court together. Can’t do it though if Screen is in foul trouble. |

Motta, a reputed 3pt machine has been anything but so far. If he finds himself that could be huge. . Motta was a pretty average 3-point shooter in HS. Good on open catch-and shot threes. Not so good off the dribble or with a defender on him. I am not optimistic that he will turn into a big-time shooter this season. The best freshman, by far, when it comes to shooting is Edmonds.

Birdsong says Motta has been pouring in the threes during team scrimmages. |

Edmonds by far looked the best to me based on his high school tape. A winner who filled the stat sheet in virtually every category and was efficient from everywhere. I expect his success to only become more abundant. If Adoh can score a moderately efficient 10 PPG, I think we can become a team Patriot League schools hate to play. |

Birdsong says Motta has been pouring in the threes during team scrimmages. I believe no more than half of what I hear from Doug. If everything he said were true, the bison probably wouldn’t have lost a game in the past two decades.

Birdsong, while a folksy crazy uncle of Bisonland, is not a credible source for me. It looks like Motta has a decent shot, so who knows what he can produce in the future. I also like Edmonds, he is a nice player. |

Birdsong is homer and I love him for that. Edmonds looks physically mature for a freshman too. I’d argue he’s already the best 3 point shooter we have. Rice has improved in that regard tremendously. I like Funk when he’s not playing silly and, in some ways, I think this team is as good as Funk’s leadership is this year. We need him on the court but he’s not Chris Hass. |
