There is a realistic possibility that the team goes winless this year. Not exactly a honeymoon for the new coach. |

Koclanes knew what she was doing when she left. A tough situation. Not much we can do except be patient and give the new coach what she needs.... The optimist would point out that Princeton football got a LOT worse before they got better when Surace initially took over. |

It's a perfect storm of bad luck and bad recruiting with a healthy dose of covid. Katie Douglas should be the team's best player and yet she scored 0 against Loyola. It would seem the new coach is trying every possible combination to see if she can find any momentum at all. Luckily for Dartmouth, Brown is even worse. |

Seems likely this will be the WBB program's worst season of all time. They sit at 1-12 and in the Ivys the only chance they have for wins are against Cornell and Brown - and I'd rate those chances at very slim. Currently Dartmouth has the 347th ranked offense in Division 1 and there are only 348 schools. |

At least Shibles can credibly offer quality recruits immediate playing time if they come to Hanover. As I said earlier, rebuilding will require patience. |

Could be, but I'll be curious what 'quality recruits' she can get to come to Hanover. In my experience recruits chasing playing time are often less valuable/coveted than those who have to compete for it. There are upperclassmen on this team who absolutely should be contributing to make this team more competitive. Why aren't they? I've watched Big Green WBB for quite some time and this team is so much worse than any previous version. Why? |

It was already quite low, so Harvard didn't do much to lower it. The game just showed off all the flaws in clearer focus - terrible shooting, mediocre athleticism, and generally poor basketball playing. A handy exercise when watching such a blowout is asking which players from the team getting blown out could possibly play on the other team. This year, more than ever, I can say with more conviction than ever that only one of Dartmouth's players, Ariik, could find any minutes on any of these other Ivy lineups. |

Well, the WBB team appears to be hitting new depths of despair. Down 45-11 at the half to Princeton, only scoring 3 pts in the 1st quarter, committing 31 TOs, only having 4 players score. It is quite a list of failures. With Cornell and Brown appearing feisty, at least, a winless Ivy season for the Big Green seems entirely possible, now. |
