I think Coach Henderson is expanding Hooks' role/expectations, which may be why he appears to be regressing. Quality minutes now for him should pay dividends when league play commences. But 100% agree that getting Kellman back would take a lot of the pressure off Hooks' development. My take on Tosun yesterday was that they scouted his spin moves in the lane and were ready for them. If he feels his defender(s) falling back to protect the rim he will need to develop new options and not always default to a lay-in against team's with decent-sized bigs. |
