Folks are behind the curve here. Protocols are being loosened, not tightened, in the last couple of weeks by the NFL, the CDC, etc. Whose safety is being protected by canceling games based on having been near someone with a positive test, while vaccinated and asymptomatic, is not clear at all. It is clear that if you test more, you will find more positives regardless of actual danger to self or others. Many have noted this, including some unvaccinated professional athletes where the protocol requires that they be tested more often. IMO, they're fools for not getting vaxxed, but the externality argument for these protocols has become tenuous to the point of insubstantiality. |
