Possible Bucknell vs. Drexel matchup in the 2nd round. That would be fun. |

Fordham started four seniors and a junior in their tournament final, which they lost narrowly to UMass. They finished sixth out of fourteen (8-6) in the A-10 this year, but went 11-2 at home. They’ll be a very tough out. |

Tessa Brugler and Drexel host Norfolk St tonight at 6:00. Here is an interesting article about a possible Drexel vs. Bucknell second round game. https://dailyitem-cnhi.newsmemory.com/?token=545e1... |

Women up 10 at the half Carly Krsul not playing? |

It was incredibly rude and disrespectful that they spent the entire 2nd quarter talking with the Fordham AD about fundraising and never mentioned what was happening on the floor. Save that crap for halftime if you need to plug your own athletic program. |

Congrats on the nice win, but that fourth quarter gave me heartburn. |

Congrats on the nice win, but that fourth quarter gave me heartburn. That turned ugly in a hurry. Can't remember the last time we gave up 33 points in a quarter. Especially after only giving up 31 in the first three. |

Congrats on the nice win, but that fourth quarter gave me heartburn. That turned ugly in a hurry. Can't remember the last time we gave up 33 points in a quarter. Especially after only giving up 31 in the first three. I think it was a combination of Walls being out, Shaffer being exhausted from playing too many minutes, and a lot of players starting to get into foul trouble.

Following up on the above, Shaffer played 32:31. The most she had ever played before this game was about 27:30 versus American. And before that game, she had never played more than 23 and change. If Krsul is gone, I fear they will really struggle against Drexel. Any foul trouble by Shaffer and the game will be over.

I fear Marly may be at risk too with a wicked shot to the eye. A great win setting up an interesting match with Tessa....Website says 6 PM Monday. |

How exactly did Drexel not get an at-large bid to the NCAA? Their resume is impressive. |

I’m guessing Marly will be good to go just based on her appearance after the game.when she seemed to be ok. I too was wondering where Krsul was during the first half. Fordham announcers finally acknowledged in the 3rd that she was not available. But going back to American Shaffer got more than her usual minutes. I attributed that to the fact that she was playing so well, but it could be that Karly was hurting. Also fwiw FU announcers said both Walls and O’Brien are already in the transfer portal. Bucknell’s anti 5 year policy strikes again. One would think that for Covid era players who virtually lost a season we could find a way for them to get the extra year. |

American lost by 35 to Michigan in the Women’s Dance today. So the last PL team playing is the Bison ladies. |

You wouldn't know it from this game, but there seems to be more parity in the women's tournament each year. Six double digit seeds made it out of the first round and three of the 13/14's were competitive to the end. Then 10 seed Creighton takes out Iowa today. |

Rhetorical question: How do things change re: tonight’s game if Tessa Brughler is NOT on Drexel’s team and IS on Bucknell’s. The 5 year policy strikes again. |

Rhetorical question: How do things change re: tonight’s game if Tessa Brughler is NOT on Drexel’s team and IS on Bucknell’s. The 5 year policy strikes again. Yes and no. There is a 0% chance that Brugler would have returned for a fifth year even if she was offered the opportunity.

I didn't expect we would win this game, but I didn't expect we would lose that way. Some questionable foul calls in the 4th quarter, but the real problem was we couldn't stop Washington. |

I agree. The loss was expected , but then we take a 13 point lead after three and extend it to 17 2 minutes into the 4th. Now I’m thinking we are going to win, except there was that nagging memory off the 4th period against Fordham. Once again Carly Krsul was not available. While she could have made the difference, that’s not certain given the way Shaffer stepped up. Great game by Collins. The future looks bright for team. Best of luck to Taylor and Marly. I enjoyed watching them this season. |

OSU beats New Mexico by 5. Ellie scores 22. OSU was down by 18 in the first half and came back. They face UCLA, which beat Wyoming in 3 OTs in the round of 8. Unfortunately, Drexel lost to Seton Hall. Tessa scored 15 and played all 40 minutes. |

OSU lost to UCLA this afternoon......Congrats to Ellie Mack on a great collegiate career and best wishes for future success! They got down early against UCLA much like their last game. They got within 5 a couple of time late, but couldn't get any closer. I wish Ellie well with whatever is next for her. |
