The second half was one of the worst halves turned in by Bucknell Basketball in the past 50 years. Bucknell started the half with possession but showed absolutely nothing, getting outscored 30–12 over the majority of the half. Poor fundamentals, low energy level, and no ability to respond to the changes Boston U made at halftime. Fire ND!

Seemed Bucknell had a distinct advantage inside. Whyte was guarding Timmerman, Zink on Screen…should’ve dominated inside. They threw up threes, hitting some, but when they dried up Rice began forcing up shots. Defensively, Bucknell gave up too many easy ones. Bison also were out-rebounded. As an aside, was listening to the local postgame radio show on the ride home…was just bad. Doug is bad enough by himself, but this other guy’s takes are poor and then he has Doug on as the expert. They ask dumb or leading questions. And I’m not sure why they were kind of laughing about Holy Cross winning today…they are 2-0 while Bucknell is 0-2. |

I myself was duped into thinking at halftime we had a good chance to win. We were playing checkers, they were playing chess. I guess this year we're going to be the baby that everyone's taking the candy from. It's going to be hard to bounce back from the second half beatdown. It will be interesting to see how, if at all, the team bounces back. |
