Bison are 8-point favorites overt HC, who ranks 342nd in the nation. HC is down to eight scholarship players - but one us POY-candidate Geralle Gates, who BU will struggle to contain.

Parking at Bucknell to see an event is atrocious. |

Obviously I’m no coach, but I do not understand the game plan. You have a distinct height advantage inside with Screen and Timm but it seems offense is rarely run with the goal of getting into your advantage. |

Parking at Bucknell to see an event is atrocious. Partly because there are three major events today. . Track and field has a meet with about a dozen schools competing, and both men and women have Senior Day in swimming vs Lehigh. Track and swimming started earlier than hoops, so their spectators got the parking spaces.

Yeah, this was yet another disappointing defeat where Bucknell matched Holy Cross in field goals and free throws, but could not make a 3pt shot to save themselves? All this while Holy Cross (the whole damm team) shot them unconscious, hitting nothing but net! Coach Davis was presented with the proposition that you can't win a Patriot League game when you are so inferior on 3pt shots for an afternoon and responded, properly, that you can't win against ANY team when you allow such a deficit. For what it's worth. |

They have proven to be inconsistent at best shooting threes, so I’m not sure why that is your game plan against a team you have an advantage against inside. If your 7’1” and 6’10” players can’t win against 6’6” players then I’m not sure what to say. Screen with two shot attempts. Timmerman didn’t really get involved until second half. Other than putbacks, Bijout didn’t do anything inside. |

Two comments on the three-point shooting: 1. The Bucknell offense doesn't use screens very productively and against aggressive defenses they often don't get good looks from beyond the arc. Yesterday a lot of their 3-point shots were rushed ones with a defender closing on the shooter. Edmonds in particular struggles when the defender is closing since he doesn't really jump when he shoots and he holds the ball very low. The Bison btw are hitting an atrocious 25.9% on threes in league games - where teams have better scouting reports and know how to defend them. HC leads the league in this category. Looking at the overall offense, Bucknell is last by a wide margin in terms of points scored per possession in PL games. 2. Bison did not defend the three well at all, which led to most of the HC attempts being open looks. Rotation was poor, and defense against pick-and-rolls was not good. For the year, Bucknell is well below average in this category.
