Yale finally returns home after a long stretch away to take on Stony Brook. KenPom has the Bulldogs as a 15-point favorite, so hopefully this can be a get-right game for them. |

yea i saw some of uri 2nd half finally. i agree w comments. they killed us on 2nd chance points. they attacked the rim and got what they wanted mostly. we shot fine and controlled tos and blocked shots so rebounding and their shooting drove comeback. we have shown propensity to give up big ones w gw and uri. knowling being out doesnt help but he didnt look right to me anyway. but getting nothing from bench is a problem at that position. samson was solid in his minutes but wolf was playing like jokic on offense so unless u play both against a small driving lineup i am not sure how to best squeeze the sponge. |

Much better effort today from Yale. No Knowling, no problem, despite Stony Brook hitting a ton of really tough shots. Nick Townsend had 22 and 15, including 7 (!!) OREB, and Yale as a team got 42% of the available offensive rebounds while limiting Stony Brook to just 27% on the offensive glass. Two huge takeaways from this game, if Yale keeps them up: Nick Townsend might be a very strong player off the bench, and it looks like the Bulldogs have figured out how to rebound. |

felt like we had a couple chances to break it open w the open 3 but cldnt hit it. stony looked solid to me but maybe our d makes them seem that way. they do have size and speed and hit shots. credit to raab of ydn. he is learning and his article on our woes pregame was good. |
