Dartmouth came back from a 10 point halftime deficit to win on the road 49-45. And this time they won without shooting or playing particularly well. The Green shot 32% and 15% from distance.

For the second straight game, freshman Nina Minicozzi was scoreless in the first half and ended as the team's leading scorer with 15. Clare Meyer added 7 pts 13 boards and 3 blocks.

Merrimack went ice cold in the fourth quarter --almost eight minutes without a point and only three points total. Part of that was Arik and Meyer clogging up the paint. Part is that Merrimack just isn't very good.

But this win is the clearest sign of progress yet. Merrimack has beaten Bryant (who handled Dartmouth easily to start the year), Siena, and Yale just last week.

And Dartmouth somehow is now playing .500 ball with a 4-4 record.

Cimino for Coach of the Year!!

Honestly, just getting a handful of wins must be working wonders for the team culture. Possunt quia posse videntur and all that.

Merrimack was also competitive with Penn on Friday. I know the transitive property isn’t always indicative in sport, but it’s still a good sign for the Green.

You can see the energy these wins are the giving the team, too.
