Might as well start thinking about this one now - Yale opens Ivy play at Brown this Tuesday on ESPNU. Obviously, Brown hasn't had the results they've wanted so far this year, but Kino Lilly is an extremely dynamic player and an obvious concern.

Yale isn't a tremendous matchup for Brown (in part because they don't have the shooters to punish Yale's often-lackadaisical perimeter defense, last game's 60% 3P% notwithstanding), but they play very physical and very hard, and Yale will need to match their intensity to win. The battle of the boards will be key here.

Very solid game from Yale tonight. No Matt Knowling turned out to be no problem, although he'd have been really helpful when the offense bogged down. Kino Lilly showed why he should be first-team all-Ivy, but Yale did just enough to get it done.

Danny Wolf (surprised and disappointed nobody's given him the nickname Teen Wolf yet) was phenomenal as has become the norm. You'll never complain about a road win, and Yale even covered the spread.

Yale had good spacing and movement on offense.
Brown was too dependent on 3s.

Two things I thought of this morning:

Yale covered on the road and overcame a heroic stretch from Kino Lilly without any brilliant individual performances. Danny was solid and Bez was both efficient and defended well, but nobody for Yale went nuts from the floor. It was just a good solid team win with good ball movement driving the offense. That's very reassuring to see, especially after the noncon.

Brown just straight-up did not guard Casey Simmons when he was more than 7 feet from the basket, and his man just clogged the paint and made things difficult. He'll have to prove he can hit the outside shot, because that's a huge problem for the offense.

agreed on all.

got hard to spread the floor. knowling doesnt change it much.

ur point on shooting depth + bez played well on offense but still cant buy a 3
