a bit too hairy-raisingly close, 63-61. After a late three brought it to within 2, we were damn lucky to get final rebound under their basket with .8 seconds left, or we could have spilled over in over time. Mostly Abby's 22 plus 14 rebounds, but Raiffu was great with one 3 pter and 4 in the paint. We will need to get Abby some help and diversify the scoring tomorrow night against Princeton. |

Both winning teams suffered last minute meltdowns and almost let the underdogs pull off two monster upsets. I frankly thought we did not do a good job of closing out the game. We had a three possession lead with under two minutes and seemed a little rattled to me. Likewise Princeton. |

PDS, Engles would have lost both games. Hie end of game management is terrible. |

Yes, of course, the Columbia Women's BB Team would have lost to Harvard last night if Engles were coaching them. Yes, of course the Princeton Women's team would have lost to Penn last night if Engles were coaching them. Yes, Engles is the worse basketball coach in the Ivy League League regardless of which sex we are talking about. Yes, Peter Pilling has to be very embarrassed this weekend by all of the obvious comparisons between the Columbia Men's and Women's Coaches and wondering why Columbia's Athletic Director has refused to fire one of the worst performing coaches in America. However, I guess he has no say in the matter. |

Modest suggestion: Move Megan over to coach the men and bump her top assistant up to coach the women. |
