In a shocker, game 3 opponent Hofstra, preseason CAA favorite, lost at home 79-71 to Pomeroy sub 300 ranked San Jose State.
San Jose State's records the last two years were 4-26, followed by 4-27. Also a ombined league record of 2-34! What is really amazing about this win is that they pulled it off with no new players from last year - and with last year's top player, a 6-10 center, having transferred out.
San Jose State's coach, btw, is Jean Prioleau, who some Bison fans will remember was an All-PL player during Fordham's championship runs in 1991 and 1992. With this being his third year as coach, his seat must be getting pretty warm.
