How do female athletes fair at recovering from ACL and MCL tears?

About the same as men. Most of the time - assuming no other problems - they are able to come back well, eventually at 100%. Typical timeline from date of surgery has been 6-9 months to be playing again if no unusual complications. But some researchers are now recommending that young athletes should wait longer, to minimize risk of any recurrence. And of course everyone is different as to how long it takes to be back to 100%.
