Kevin Bettencourt hit a winning shot from just inside the 3-point line with 1.2 seconds left to take down the MAAC preseason favorite. The Bison ran a set play for KB, despite him having missed his previous seven shots. The Rider defender showed no respect for his shooting ability and paid the price. Some will recall this was the game where the Bison showed up late due to a fatal accident on nearby Route 1, which caused major traffic problems.
