Yes, I agree with palestra38 that Columbia (Smith)"... could have easily won a title here with a little luck," but that overlooks the fact that during Smith's first year at Columbia, his teammates included Luke Petrasek, Lukas Meisner, Jeff Coby, Hickman, Adlesh , Tape, McComber and several other talented players and yet the Lions finished 5-9 in the Ivy League. So Mike Smith was surrounded with skilled players from day one and yet the Lions didn't even make the Ivy League Tournament. With hindsight, I would say that Columbia's horrid record the past several years was primarily the result of poor coaching. Hopefully, that will change the comping season as the Lions have added two highly respected assistant coaches to the coaching staff and the recruits look very promising. Hopefully, the new beefed up Coaching Staff will turn things around quickly
