While Engles certainly has dealt with injuries, Iâ€™m not sure how much of a basket case program he took over. Columbia was coming off a 25 win season (10-4, 3rd in the Ivies) when he came in. Basically, Columbiaâ€™s average wins per season have cut in half going from Smith to Engles. May be some bad luck, for sure, but after 4 years the results may just be the results.
