I was living in Cincinnati when Princeton made its 1999 NIT run. They faced Xavier in the quarterfinals at the old Cincinnati Gardens (which I'm glad I got a chance to see before it was torn down--there was a lot of history in that building). Hell of a game, but Xavier eventually wore them down.

I do remember that Xavier students were holding up signs saying "BEAT THE BOOKWORMS!" and "BEAT THE NERDS!"
