In response to palestra38
Jadwin provides adequate seating (capacity 6,800) and frankly a much more roomy, bright and comfy lobby space to hang out during breaks than the Palestra. (Don't get me wrong, I love the Palestra but sitting on those damn wooden benches with no chair backs and standing in those dank and dreary hallwalls is torture on my aging back.)
Having to clear the gym between games at Levien was pretty bush league, although hitting up Tom's Restaurant (aka Monk's Cafe) was a cool way to spend time between games. Although I probably would have purchased tickets to both men's semis anyway, I didn't like being forced to buy two sets of tickets while waiting to find out if the Tigers would be in the 1-4 or the 2-3 game. I'm sure I wasn't the only one to do so.
I don't understand why the league can't allow the league winner to host the tournament. If the league is dead set on having the men's and women's tournaments in the same gym, just rotate the thing between the men's winner's home court one year and the women's winner's home site the next. Princeton was able to immediately schedule Jadwin for the NIT on Saturday afternoon and has done so on short notice for NIT and CBI in the past. Other schools have done the same.
If the league winner can't host for some reason, go to the runner-up.
