In 1968,when I was an editor at Prentice-Hall, I called Rohan to invite him to write a book on coaching basketball. I guess he had better things to do (such as preparing the team), but after a very pleasant conversation, he turned me down. Although I was disappointed, I could tell from that one talk why he might be a quietly compelling coach.
