I give Earl a lot of credit for changing the style of play this season. If you want to play 11-12 guys in the first half and early 2nd that is fine and it worked during the out-of-conference schedule. But, in a tight league game, you have to go with the guys who are playing well. Patel was scoring and gets taken out when they needed points. You have to shorten your bench in a game like this. On the flip side, Henderson’s move to the 1-3-1 changed the game, and Cornell’s guards looked confused on how to attack it. Great shot at the end and a tough loss for Cornell.
