With everyone talking about how times are changing and how some coaches could work the old system but can't work the new one, I found
this article interesting. It essentially makes the argument that the shoe companies created an oligopoly in college basketball, and that at least for the moment, NIL has broken that and has actually been a force for increased competition. This may or may not hold true for the Ivies, and they certainly have to be willing to play the game, but it's an interesting thought.
