The coaches nominated Battle among a small list for the all state team which has not been announced. This year he averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals a game. He led his New Hanover team to 26-4 record and first appearance in state semifinals. He scored an 1150 on his SAT and has a 3.8 GPA. He chose Cornell over an offer from UNC-Asheville.
