As shocking as it may seem, both rounds of the NBA draft went by without anyone calling out the name Tim Begley! Though some of the picks were no less mystifying than if they had selected the Ivy POY. Gotta wonder what some of the Matt Walsh's of the world are thinking this morning.

That the 76ers would take a 6-1 high school SHOOTING GUARD over Matt Walsh (or Tim Begley, for that matter) leads me to believe that the Sixers and other teams had a strong sense Walsh wouldn't be drafted and they could just bring him in for a tryout with no money at risk.

Either that or no one thinks he can play.

A 6-1 two guard? The Quakers wouldn't even recruit a 6-1 two guard.

Just like the newspaper business and the movie business, the NBA makes no sense to me anymore.

Agreed, Howard. Add to that the fact that this kid refused to work out for the Sixers and you're left wondering what they were thinking.
