Offer to Mylyjael Poteat, a 6-9 260 lb center from NC. Has offers from Wofford, Northeastern, and American. He plays for the Burlington School, which is John Meeks' alma mater.

Looks like a BIG post player who can take it to the rim, rebound, and pass. Didn't see a J featured in the video.

As we move further away from last season, I think Meeks could have a monster year if his health and conditioning allow it.

I agree that health is the big concern. Meeks has shown that he can be an impact player when on the floor, but . . .

I guess that only time will tell.

Agree completely. The two factors are really part of the same issue. His serious foot problems often prevented him from practicing and completely precluded him from doing separate conditioning drills.

I hope the BU coaching staff thinks out of the box a bit this year. Their top two players at PF/C are Moore and Meeks. While I expect to see Newman starting at center and Moore at PF, I hope we will see long stretches with Moore at center and Meeks at PF. Moore is such a versatile defender that he can guard any PL center with the possible exception of Ivanauskas. And very few PL fives can keep up with Moore at the other end. A lineup of Moore, Meeks, Toomer, Funk, and Sotos would be very dynamic offensively and not bad at the other end.

Dorsey has offers from Lehigh, Loyola, and UMBC. He plays for the Hill School in PA.

Note: Since the above post, he has picked up offers from Georgetown, Yale, Hofstra, and MSM.

Now an offer from Lehigh. That appears to be 11 offers this week. Similar to Sestina, who got 11 offers in a very short period in late July following AAU Nationals.

Agree completely. The two factors are really part of the same issue. His serious foot problems often prevented him from practicing and completely precluded him from doing separate conditioning drills.

How about swimming? It is great cardio exercise with no impact other than pushing off the wall.

He was in the pool quite a bit last spring - swimming and aqua-jogging.

Kahliel Spear has beefed up since last year and might be an option at center. Timmerman is also a big body, but we'll have to see if he's college-ready.

Offer to Caelan 'C.J.' Jones, a 6-5 wing from Los Angeles who will be doing a PG year at Vermont Academy after playing four years for Loyola in L.A. Has offers from Siena, Fairfield, Niagara, Sacred Heart, South Dakota, and Army - all in the past five weeks.

At Loyola - which is a good program - he seems to have been a role player who shot a lot of threes. Went 52-146 (46%) from beyond the arc but almost never went to the line. He didn't have any offers when he finished his senior year before they started pouring in, so presumably he has shown a lot of recent improvement.
