And who is Bridget Tobin (SO)? Is she a late walk-on?
A walk-on, but not really late. She has been on the team the entire fall. Bridget Tobin is a 5-5 PG from Red Bank Regional (NJ Shore Conference) - which has been a good program and plays in a fairly strong league. She averaged 12 ppg, 4 rpg, and 4 apg as a senior. Dpubtful she will ever play meaningful minutes but the roster definitely needed an addition.
I don't recall seeing her name before, but could have missed it. Was also confused by her being listed as a sophomore.

Nice win tonight against an overmatched Monmouth team. I was particularly impressed with Brugler, who clearly merited her step up to a starting role this year. I was a bit concerned that we only played seven players in the first half, for obvious reasons. However, when Krsul and Tai Johnson got on the court in the second half they both looked ready to contribute right away. I suspect we’ll see them in the first half of games pretty soon.

How has the style of play changed with the new coach? Are we coaching to our player's strengths?

The defense is much more aggressive. They played a lot of 3/4 court press. They seem to be more deliberate on offense - not looking for a lot of fast break opportunities, but passing and looking for the open player.

Women got two good wins in Puerto Rico yesterday and today over Howard and Cincinnati. Very balanced scoring today. Mack had an off day, but Allie Johnson and Abby Kapp took up the slack.

Women got another good win today at GMU 64-51 to move to 5-3. Tessa Brugler had a career day with 24 pts, 11 reb.
Overall, the PL is having a good OOC season with seven teams over .500.

Prior to the win today, the Bison were ranked 107th in the nation (Massey). Seven PL teams - Bucknell, Lehigh, Colgate, Holy Cross, Boston U, American, and Navy - are in the top 174. And the PL is the #18 conference in the nation - which might be its top ranking ever.
Colgate has been bad for 15 consecutive years but thus far is playing very well. It might be a one-year phenomenon since their top player and a couple of other starters are seniors - but their coach, former Bloomsburg coach Bill Cleary - deserves a lot of credit. He is in his fourth year at CU.

Brugler has exactly doubled her scoring rate per minute compared to last year - despite more of the minutes being against better competition.

I mentioned after the Monmouth game that Brugler had impressed me. Not sure if she’s picked up her game or if she just needed the chance, but I think she’s going to be a big part of the team this year. I really like this team.

Coach Cleary was very well regarded at Bloomsburg. I thought he was a good hire at the time.

I think she has definitely improved her game. Appears to be in better condition and showing some post moves that weren't seen her first two years. Her improvement has been a big factor in the team's strong play. Prior to the season, I didn't think they had much chance to challenge Lehigh or Holy Cross, but now I think it's a very realistic possibility.

Yes, I thought he was a good hire. He is a great guy and really did a phenomenal job at Bloomsburg. I hope he really is turning things around at Colgate.

Women got a very good win today 60-49 over Drexel, who had beaten us the last two years. Allie Johnson led four Bison in double figures with 15. Brugler had a double double and Mack just missed with 13 pts, 9 reb, and 6 ast. Bison head into final 6-3 with a 4 game winning streak.

In the past week Drexel had beaten both St. Joseph’s and Villanova, both good teams. They were ranked 80th in the country (Massey).
In the past 10 days, Bucknell has beaten two top hundred teams - Cincinnati and Drexel. Not sure when or if that happened before.

Colgate kept it close at Alabama in the first half, but ended up losing by 20. American was down only two to Minnesota after 3 quarters, but got outscored by 15 in the 4th.

Based on Massey etc, Alabama is a good team but not great - slightly better than Drexel. But Minnesota is very good, so staying close to them for much of the game is a good outcome for American.

Tessa Brugler was named PL POW for her two double-doubles in five days, versus GMU and Drexel. Bucknell has had very few players who have improved as much from one year to the next as Brugler. Kudos to her.

Bison won their 5th in a row at St. Francis this afternoon 70-46. St. Francis started the 3rd quarter on a 7-2 run to pull within 38-32. Trevor Woodruff called a timeout and the Bison scored the next 20 points to turn it into a blowout win.
