Watched the second half. That run was impressive. Ellie Mack and Taylor O'Brien in particular played well. Allie Johnson, normally the starting SG, was not in uniform today. Did they mention the reason? Hopefully nothing serious.

I missed the beginning of the game, but never heard them mention why Allie wasn't playing. O'Brien did a great job as a starter.

Nice to see Ally Johnson back on the floor today. 19 minutes, according to the box score.

Yes. With her return, the bison have a good bench. Taylor O’Brien has been playing great, Ceppi rebounds and defends, and the two freshman, Tai Johnson and Krsul have been earning increased minutes with their play. I didn’t see the game today but it is possible Krsul got hurt. She played one minute at the start of the second quarter, got fouled, and then was taken out at the next stoppage of play.

Yes, she had a good game and looked like she's 100%. Surprisingly, Tai Johnson played more minutes than O'Brien. Bison did a great job on Kucowski, holding her to 6 points on 3-10 shooting. She did get 13 reb, but only 3 offensive. Lafayette shot only 28% and 2-11 from 3.

In contrast to our game, Colgate beat Army 100-94. I'm not sure what the PL women's record is for total points in a game, but this one's got to be in the top 10.

O’Brien got in early foul trouble and only played eight minutes in the first half. She started the second half but missed two shots and had a turnover early and was pulled four minutes in. Never got back in the game. Apparently Woodruff liked the chemistry of the team on the floor or Tai Johnson’s defense or something. Although not her best game today, O’Brien Is a great athlete and contributes in a lot of ways.

No question O'Brien is a great contributor. That's why I was surprised she didn't get back into the game. She's great at getting to the basket. Just wish she had a little more finesse on her layups.

Meanwhile, another superb defensive performance by the women. On the road, held Navy to 34 points on 28% shooting.

Top two scorers no longer on the team for Navy...Navy a very shorthanded team now... Bucknell-HC should be a great game...

Holy Cross eked out a 1 point win over Lafayette (who we beat 50-36) at home on a 3 point play with 8 seconds left. I'm not saying this will be an easy game, but the results indicate we're the better team. Current RPIs are 94 (BU) and 105 (HC).

Definitely not an easy game. HC starts four seniors, plus a soph PG who was the PL ROY last year. They also have the league's top player (Lauren Manis), who is the preseason POY this year and who will end her career having made 1st team All-PL three times and 2nd team once. HC also leads the nation in three-point shooting accuracy. Included on their resume thus far is a win over Boston College and also an OT loss at Illinois - but they have not been consistent. I will be rooting for the Bison of course, but if HC comes to play, I think they have a good chance to win on their home court.

One other intangible is that HC is better coached this year, with Bill Gibbons having been suspended and then having his contract non-renewed. I don't think their interim coach, Ann McInerney is great - but she is a definite improvement.

In contrast to HC’s senior laden team, it’s worth remembering that we graduated three thousand-point scorers from last year’s team. The fact that we can still go nine deep this year despite those graduations says a lot about how far this program has come.

Ellie Mack. 17 points and 12 rebounds. That’s showing up big time in a big game.

Mack vs. Manis was a treat to watch. Luckily, Ellie got the better of it, but Manis is really tough and talented.

Hope Walls is going to be OK. Looked like it could be either a knee or ankle. It would be better if it's her ankle, not the knee.

Unfortunately it looks like her right knee. Hopefully just a sprain, but it didn't look good.

Losing Walls would be a big blow. AJ and Tai can play the point, but they're not going to drive into the lane and draw fouls the way Marly does. She was key to keeping us in the game in the first half yesterday.
