I really hate the way the lower seeds can’t get neutral sites.

I don't like it either, but it's not going to change because of the economics of the women's tournament. It has traditionally lost money, and any first weekend bracket that is not played on the home court of a top seed will be played in front of an empty arena. Even the Regionals the next week don't draw well unless there is a local team in it.
Btw, one thing that I don't think has been mentioned is that the Bison women are assured an NIT berth if they don't win the PLT. Obviously winning the tournament is the objective, but an NIT berth isn't a terrible consolation prize. You may recall that the Bison won an NIT game in 2016, beating Akron on the road.

I see that the Bison effectively were #1 in home women's attendance of all PL schools - the first time that has happened.
Army is listed as #1 by a small margin, but that is due to their Army/Navy one-admission double-header, where most of the crowd was there for the men's game. Take away that attendance - many of whom weren't there for much of the women's game - and the Bison are well ahead of Army.

Averaged 942 per game. In the past it was rare to get over 1000 for a game, even a tournament game. Hopefully, there will be good crowds for this year's tournament, even with the students on break.

Bison just got a little help with SE Missouri upsetting UT-Martin in the OVC championship. That's a projected #13 gone.

Bison women easily outdrew the Lehigh men - and had approximately the same average attendance as the Colgate men.

Thrilled for Trevor Woodruff, who has had a great first year. Congrats also to Aaron Roussell, who took Richmond from nine to fifteen wins in his first year there. If Richmond women’s basketball was a stock I’d be a buyer.

The women cruised to an easy win over Army. Holy Cross is up next after they crushed Lafayette. Colgate lost their 4th game in a row, twice in 5 days to Lehigh at home. Had they won just one more regular season game, they would have finished 2nd and gotten the WNIT bid if Bucknell wins the tournament.

As of now they are still advertising to encourage people to buy tickets for the game. No hints at all about any possible restrictions.
And the PIAA state swim meet is continuing to be held at Bucknell, with large crowds at every session.

I was at the Pistons vs. Sixers game last night. There were so many empty seats that it felt like a preseason game. The ticket sales were probably over 20k, but the actual attendance was probably around 9k-10k. It felt like around 50% of seats were empty. No lines for beer or food. Very strange.
New season, new team, new dream . . . |

Now the PIAA swim meet at Bucknell has been postponed. Basketball game is still on, but I get the feeling that the decision-makers can't make a decision on spectators. As of now, spectators will be allowed - but it wouldn't surprise me if Bravman decided 20 minutes before game time to ban spectators.

If that turns out to be the case, it will show utter incompetence on the part of the PL and/or Bucknell. There is nothing that is known now that is different than what was known at 9 AM. The only difference is that many family members, friends, and fans have already made long drives to Lewisburg.

I agree but with pretty much every remaining men’s tournament getting canceled today, it would surprise me if the Patriot League doesn’t do the same for the women’s tournament. Hope I’m wrong.

There are a few differences:
1. The big men's tournaments draw 100,000+ fans and have huge crowds sitting in close proximity at every game. At Bucknell, with some folks likely staying home, there will maybe be 700 people spread out over a 4000 seat arena.
2. The P6 tournaments that have been cancelled had barely begun. In contrast, the PL tournament has already played 8 of its 11 games.
