Just posted on twitter that Andre Screen, a 6-11 240 lb center from Virginia has committed to the Bison.
Screen had offers from St. Bona, GMU, URI, La Salle, St. Joes, JMU, Towson, Fairfield, Northeastern, American, Lehigh, Loyola, Akron, Ohio, Radford, Towson, Delaware, Brown, Columbia, Mt. St. Mary's, and others. Note that virtually all of the offers came after May 15th of this year, as his stock skyrocketed during the summer.

Appears to have the potential to be the next Nana Foulland, although his offensive game is a work in progress.
Old Bison's good news?

Interview with Screen from last October:
https://www.prephoops.com/2018/10/recruiting-re por...
Excerpt from Intro:
"Not many prospects in the local 2020 class have improved as much as Andre Screen over the course of the last 12 months. The 6-foot-10 post prospect out of St. Stephens & St. Agnes, who blocks shots and is becoming a mammoth on the boards, can score in a variety of ways on the offensive end. Screen still has a lot of room for growth, but it just seems like he gets better each time we see him."

I see that Screen also had offers from Boston U and Cleveland State, along with one from Howard I didn't list initially. That makes his known offer list look like this:
St. Bona, GMU, URI, La Salle, St. Joes, JMU, Towson, Fairfield, Northeastern, Boston U, American, Lehigh, Loyola, Akron, Ohio, Cleveland State, Radford, Towson, Delaware, Brown, Columbia, Mt. St. Mary's, and Howard.
Not too shabby. This means that both of the current Bison commits had multiple A-10 offers.

137 - YES
He's a real get. Well done by Bison staff. People I checked with didn't give me the impression he was an offensive W-i-P. Hopefully that is not the case. Type of kid Bison absolutely need to compete at prior year levels. New Loyola kid's a stud and CU will be a nightmare. Kid that killed us didn't even score (maybe 2) against Tenn. Screen coming aboard is a huge plus for men's hoop

137 - just watched your link and first view. Well, we know he can dunk! Little slow but footwork is good, soft touch on short spot up J that Nana didn't have, shows versatility with the left. Lotta baby fat but you can't teach 6'11 - 240 at 17! Stay's where he's effective but the link didn't really show much against big bodies but he'll learn and toughen up under Nate. Very exciting to me. Tx for posted the view

Two twitter comments from analysts:
- "Bucknell gets an excellent post prospect in 6-11 Andre Screen (Alexandria, VA/ St.Stephen’s&St.Agnes) Screen showed solid improvement from the beginning of the spring until the end of the summer. Ceiling has not been reached."
- " this is an outstanding get for them. Screen has improved on a steady pace & best days are still ahead. Will keep Bucknell at top of Patriot for years to come."

Yeah, Birdsong’s going to have fun with that. “And it’s Deuce Turner with a nifty layup off a screen from Screen!â€

Hopefully it works out a lot better than Lafayette's "name" center from four years ago: Sam Dunkum. Dunkum was at LC for a year but never dunked. In fact he never even scored. Then transferred a couple of times without making any impact at any of his schools.

His shooting form looks eerily similar to Nana's...Let's hope the ball sees the bottom of the net with a bit more regularity

A PrepHoops profile from June 2019:
"One of the top breakout players from the DMV region over the past couple of weeks has been 2020 Andre Screen of St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes. Screen is a 6’10 post man that has been excelling on both sides of the ball this summer. He is always completely wired on offense and defense and that is a reason why he has seen his recruitment take off in the recent weeks. During Capitol Hoops Summer League he is averaging 12.4 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game and 2 blocks per game."
...
"When asked about visiting other schools, he said, 'I want to visit all the schools that I can because I am really about atmosphere, I want to go to a place with a good atmosphere.' "

"Andre Screen 6-10.5 C, 2020. St. Stephen St. Agnes (IAC). Andre has made a huge hyper jump to a upper D1 recruit thru his great work ethic & coaching & still has great upside. Andre is very skilled in the post & runs very well, His IQ is exc(ellent)"

Every Bison team that made the NCAA tournament had a dominant center (well, I guess Butts might not have been dominant yet in 86-87)... so I think it's good that they recruited a potentially dominant center.

Since the scholarship era began, BU has had a nice collection of centers. The main starters during that period have been:
- McNaughton (4 years)
- Linthicum/O'Brien (1 year)
- Behan (1 year)
- Muscala (4 years)
- Fitzpatrick (1 year)
- Foulland (4 years)
- Sestina (1 year)
Three POY candidates, plus two other All-PL players, and a couple other good ones. And Linthicum was just developing into an All-PL candidate as a junior when he suffered the bad knee injury that wrecked his career.
