Due to the NCAA hoops tournament and spring sports being cancelled, the NCAA is reducing its annual D1 dispersal from $600 million to $225 million. D2 and D3 are also heavily impacted. Power conferences are losing money due to cancelled conference tournaments, merchandise sales that are down, and lost donations.
This article indicates that some schools may cut or completely eliminate sports. I wonder if Bucknell has any plans to reduce the athletics budget.

It won't just be athletics, but they may be hit the hardest. I think you will see a very different landscape in higher ed in general 6 months from now.

One thing I've noticed is that Bucknell and a number of other colleges have instituted hiring freezes for both athletics and academics.
