Jeff Goodman and others are reporting that the NCAA by December 16th may vote to give all transfers immediate eligibility. If so, this would mean Miles could play the whole season for the Bison and not lose any eligibility IF the PL doesn't override the NCAA rule that winter sports athletes who play this year won't lose any eligibility.
It has never been clarified if he was planning to play two season for the Bison (in 2021-22 and 2922-23) after sitting out this year. That would be perfectly legal under NCAA rules, of course, but would require his buy-in plus Bucknell allowing it for academic reasons. If there were no plans for him to play two years for the Bison anyway, then playing this year would be a no-brainer.

The NCAA has approved the rule change to allow this year's transfers to play immediately. Assuming the PL ratifies the change, that would allow Miles to play immediately. There might be other ramifications, however, depending on the policy Bucknell adopts.
