This really is sad. But I am not at all surprised by this! I witnessed a lot of anger and frustration this past season. I wish him good luck and please people keep it clean in here. I know for a fact he has family that messaged on here. Best wishes Jimmy!

Silly...Kids future is grad school and a career, not running around Europe. Case of a kid who’s identity is too tied up with basketball. I wish him the best...really liked him and cared about him.

From a Bison to a Buckeye. Couldn’t think of two more distinct experiences. Exposes what ruled

Not a surprise. And the blame goes to the coaching staff.

It’s not like I don’t know who the Psycho is. Basketball’s a vehicle - not where you get your bread buttered.

I understand your frustrations. Let’s place this in perspective. You don’t know me, but I’m sure you’ve walked by me enough. All I’ll say is I have a lot of connections as well. Maybe not as many as 137, but a lot in Bucknell Basketball and other sports professionally and collegiate.

137 you are spot on! When a bench player leaves it’s not a big deal but when your best player leaves as junior it says a lot!

Some of you people would actually cheer and feel vindicated if another kid transferred. Strangest #%$@ I have ever come across. People are dying of Covid and you still want your coaching bound of flesh.

Old Bison, I think that everybody on this board wants nothing more than for the Bison to succeed on the court and in life. IMO, calling people names and offending them personally does not accomplish anything other than cause discord on the board. I am very disappointed.

So much for keeping it clean and respectful here. Disappointing, guys.
Is he moving over to Ohio State?
And stop with the name calling. Send each other private messages and call each other out that way. Settle it privately.

How the h*** do you know what his future is? Leave the kid be and let him make the best decisions for himself.

Of course they want Bucknell to be successful on the court. The issue is how immature and destructive and how much of their self worth is tied up in Bucknell’s win lose record. They have connections...really. Well if they’re such basketball genius savants why don’t they have a whistle in their mouth. Basketball coaching and sales...two toughest professions in the world.

Does anyone know if he is immediately eligible? I can't keep track of the transfer rules anymore, but I think he needs to have either: 1) graduated, 2) coach leaving 3) family hardship. Or does this qualify under the one-time exception rule?
If he's willing to sit out a year for only one season at a new school, he must really feel strongly to leave the program.

Ray Bucknell - you’re correct. It’s his life and it is why I sincerely wish him the best. Emotional response to seeing the kid go. Really had his heart in it and I can relate 100%. I can tell you from life experience the kid will understand his decision making framework later in life. I hope only the best for him. I guess my point is....life never changes...hurdles never change and never cease and the older you get you realize that changing scenery, or changing jobs, changing this or changing that ultimately gets you to a jumping off spot where you have to go through. That said, you’re 100% correct. The kids happiness is his business and his decision making his own. Good kid, good battler, great heart and caring. - still young
