No, but he said anonymous sources claim Trump is the worst human being on Earth. I believe them.
Hopefully whatever medical condition caused AJ to fail his physical has led to “herd mentality†so the rest of the Quakers can play in the second semester.

Very comforting to be assured that the failed physical is

I hope you’re right. What is “good authority†supposed to mean anyway? That’s even worse than anonymous sources, which I tend to believe when they come from someone whom I trust like Bob Woodward.
I think my various sources have been pretty reliable over time. But hey, you can believe whatever makes you happy.

It’s more than a coincidence that they signed AJ on July 24th and then on August 20th they signed a kid at the same position who played at San Diego State. 10 days later AJ was gone.

Hold on - don’t be so touchy. I never said I didn’t believe you. It would be good to have some idea what it’s based on besides circumstantial evidence like another signing.

Well you can read for yourself in the public domain the sequence of events and I have already confirmed that AJ is not hurt so there was no reason for him to "fail his physical".
These European leagues have limits on ex-pats and they signed AJ to a guaranteed if I am not mistake so a failed physical is the only way to get out of that. AJ was a 2nd center they signed to back up the incumbent. They added the 3rd guy a month after AJ and then a week or so later AJ was gone and it seems pretty obvious they aren't going with 3 centers on a Euro team.

You would think they would trade his contract rather than risk a lawsuit, although it is possible that could still happen.

PennFan10's interpretation sounds very plausible.
Physicals come up with all sorts of things, most of which are related to relatively normal wear of an athlete's body. Because of that, a team can use the results of pretty much any physical to claim that the athlete 'failed' it. It's incredibly doubtful there's any legal recourse in this case, and even more doubtful it's in AJ's interest to pursue one.

How often do things like this happen? Teams can just mess around with the careers of players like that?? How awful. Any other options probably closed in the meantime...

AJ in Germany 09-17-20 11:45 AM - Post#313541

Happens frequent enough in European soccer that 'failing the physical' is met with a heavy dose of skepticism, to the point that actual medical issues are pretty much met with surprise.
Heard from a reliable source that there's enough damage in the arm of any MLB pitcher to 'fail' any of them. It's a handy excuse to nix a trade or signing when the team has second thoughts.
Sometimes something legit does come up. For example Antonee Robinson, a soccer player on the US Men's National Team, failed a last minute physical before a short term loan that turned up a possible heart issue. The issue wound up being minor, but he did have to miss some time for treatment.

Coincidentally, Mitteldeutscher BC/Syntainics MBC is also the first team that Hans Brase played for in Germany. The team AJ had originally agreed to join was the team Brase played his 2nd season with

Looks like AJ played 9 minutes in his inaugural game last weekend. 0-3 from field (0-0 from 3), 3 rebs, 2 steals and 1 TO. Next game is Nov 7.
