Patriot League moving away from Patriot League Network to ESPN+.
Games will still be on CBS Sports Network; however, looks like we will need to pay to view regular season games going forward.

This is fantastic news. $5.99 a month is a very reasonable price, considering the huge volume of other games you get for it too. I activate it every November and cancel it in March.
Stadium had progressed from mediocre to frequently poor, so I’m delighted to say goodbye to it.

As an aside, when the league was promoting big news for today, I was hoping it going to be a reversal of the fall sports shutdown. Hope no athletes got their hopes up.

This is a great move. The cost is reasonable and Stadium sucks.

Other than the sound quality being poor, I never really had a problem with Stadium. It seemed to always work on my Android phone. BUT I am very excited to watch ESPN+ on my 75" TV!!! It will make the Bison look that much better.

It's well worth the $6 if the production quality is better. It may be all we have this year.

For me ESPN+ has been a throw in with Hulu and my daughters Disney+ subscription. Now I may watch it.

Good move by PL. Stadium wasn't great. The D+/Hulu/E+ bundle is a really solid streaming package.

Good news that Joe Vasile will do the p-b-p for men's home games on ESPN+. If you haven't seen him on the women's games, he's very good.

Doug Birdsong will still be doing the play-by-play for radio, for both home and away games. Not sure of the reason for having two announcers.

Does anybody know how quickly ESPN+ archives games? Also, how can archived games be accessed?

1. In the past, games have been archived quickly. Less than an hour.
2. There are probably a few ways to do it, but one is as follows:
A. When you log in, you should end up on a screen where there are options in the bar near the top. Select "schedule and replays".
B. That will get you to a screen divided by type of sport, and listing live games on now. One of the options near the top is "replay". Select that option.
C. That will take you to a list of available archived games from that day. Select the one you want.
D. OR if you want a game from earlier dates, select the date of the game from the tabs near the top.
E. You can make things a little easier by using the dropdown menu that initially says "all sports". Hit that menu and then select "basketball"
There is also another way. Try the above and if there is a problem, let me know and I will post a second method.

Just realized that there is a better way to find games for a specific team. Just click on the search symbol (magnifying glass at upper right) and type in Bucknell, or whoever. You'll get a list of all games involving that team.

So the scheduling genius strikes again. This afternoon's 3PM game women's game with Navy became a 6PM game with Loyola; making 8 of the 14 games with announced times being at the same time for men and women. In the virtual world, people could have done a better job of scheduling so that fans could watch both games. I guess they really want to have separate fan bases for men's and women's hoops. Disappointing at the very least,

Yes, very disappointing. It seems like the league over the years has done everything they can to undermine the potential audience for women's games. And the individual teams haven't helped.

Agree. The league has shown little interest in promoting WBB or any other women's sports for that matter. Not scheduling men's and women's games at the same time is an obvious, simple step that they choose to ignore.

Agree with all of the above posts, but the switch to ESPN and the availability of immediate archives makes it possible to watch one game right after the other. The lack of timely archiving is what I hated about Stadium, and it was a major consideration in the league’s decision to move.
