The early signing date for basketball starts on Wednesday. Runs through November 18th. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. As has been posted, the men have three commitments. All appear to still be on-board. The women have received three reported commitments, although they have room for four. Still need a post player.

It is also the signing period for other sports with the exception of football.

Three women's recruits have signed as well:

Isabella King: https://twitter.com/Bucknell_WBB/status/1 326879985...

Remi Sisselman: https://twitter.com/RemiSisselman/status/ 132672888...

Have been hoping that they would also add a post player - a position of great need - but it appears that is not happening.

Until last year, lived a few miles from Ian. Perfect Patriot League resume - secondary scorer on team that if full of all stars. Kyler Murray's HS - school has many athletes who eventually make pros. One of the few schools in Texas they never added new high schools to - over 5000 students. On most teams he would be an All Star. Has to work hard just to make team - should flourish at Bucknell.

Not only does Allen HS have over 5000 students (5400 to be exact) - but that it only has grades 10-12. That's 1800 students per class.

The Bison have had some football recruiting success there in the past. All-PL DL Tracey Smith and All-PL OL Ian Dal Bello, who both played almost a decade ago, were both from Allen, as were a couple of other recruits.

Allen HS, as I'm sure you know, has an 18,000 seat stadium, which cost $60 million. Allen is 50-0 at home playing in that stadium. They are also currently riding an 80-game winning streak in regular season games.

Press release on the women signees:

The bio for Remi Sisselman is not completely accurate, as she spent her freshman and sophomore years at a smaller, weaker program. Among her 20+ offers were ones from Villanova, St. John's, and Virginia Tech.

I am disappointed that no post player was added. Unless one of the two senior forwards returns for a fifth year - unlikely but not impossible - then team will not be strong in the paint next year. That assumes they don't add a post player in the spring signing period.
