Were it not for our terrible luck with injuries, we would have had Tape, Smith and Stefanini on the court at the same time. Not a bad nucleus.

Based upon Smith as starting PG at Michigan, all I can say is that it is truly heartbreaking that we did not have those three studs on the court together—we would have been the best team in the IL. The talent was there-Smith is a starter at Michigan, Tape at Duke, and Stef wa all Ivy.

I wonder if Tape is injured.

In Duke’s 81-71 win over Coppin State today 10 of the 12 recruited players on the Duke roster got playing time. I didn’t see the game but as best I can tell Tape didn’t get time on the court.

Looks like it was coach’s decision. He was apparently in uniform and on the bench. Coach K said that Coppin State went small, and so he didn’t play his bigs much.

Tapé is back in the transfer portal for his "super senior season" since the NCAA has given all players an extra year of eligibility. He appeared in just 10 games this year and also dealt with a back injury for parts of the year

Looks like Patrick Tape will be heading to USF, where he will be playing with Gabe Stefanini.

San Francisco's Patrick Tape has received a waiver from the NCAA and is eligible for the 21-22 season, per a school spokesman. Transfer from Duke. Also previously played for Columbia.

I actually saw this on ESPN. Not everyday a former IL player posterizes a POY candidate.

Thanks for finding this. The assist on that play is from Stefanini.
