OSU had a surprisingly tough time with 12-seed, 1-15 Cal in the first round of the PAC-12 tournament today. Ellie had only 2 pts. Next up, a rematch with Oregon tomorrow in the QF.

OSU is safely in the NCAA tournament after wins over UCLA and Oregon recently. ESPN currently has them as a #10 seed.

Ellie had only 3 points on an and-1, but the Beavers beat Oregon 71-64. They closed the 3rd quarter on a 15-2 run to take a 15 point lead into the 4th. Oregon got within 4 midway through the 4th, but couldn't get any closer. After the two teams only scored a combined 43 points in the first half, they scored 52 in the 3rd quarter (OSU 31 and Oregon 21).

Ellie will get another shot at Florida State in the 8-9 game. Let's hope it goes better for her and her team than the last time she faced them.

Two years at another program. I wish her well but it only further sours me on the PL.

The grad transfer issue seems to be more Bucknell rather than the Patriot League. The second year for Ellie is a bonus because of COVID, which no one foresaw when she took the transfer. Of course, if there had been a way for her to get a degree as a grad student, this never would have happened.
