Finally, is CU that good, or Army that bad?
That was a shocker. I turned it on when it was 75-37 and thought it was a mistake. Lehigh also didn't look like a 9th place team.

Colgate is very good - and it doesn't hurt to have the league's best coach. However, they are not as good as they looked - with unsustainable shooting pcts a factor. They hit 29-38 (76.3%) on twos and 12-25 (48.0%) on threes. Also .875 on FT's. CU's new starting center, soph Keegan Records, looked much improved - hitting 6-6 on FG's and getting 12 boards in 16 minutes. He was very lightly recruited - not committing until late in his senior year.
Army is not as bad as they looked. Not only did Colgate have an incredibly good shooting day, Army had a really bad one. A bigger concern is that they were outrebounded 44-23. Prior to this game, they had been a very good defensive rebounding team.

Showing that teams are never as good or as bad as they look on a good or bad day . . . Army leads Colgate 46-35 at the half in Cotterell. Army has the better shooting pcts and rebounds are even.
Btw, the Cotterell crowd looks exactly the same as it does any other year.

CBS Sports Network appears to be down. They better get that figured out by 6:00.

This is hard to watch. Last 14 minutes of Saturday and first 14 minutes of today’s game are just low quality basketball.

I won’t aggravate people by posting on the “other thread†but the poor coaching trend has continued into this year.

I look forward to following the progress of Turner and Screen, especially. Tough ending for Deuce, but he has such a good future ahead of him. Same with Andre. If they receive good coaching and work hard, they could have two of the best careers at Bucknell.

They’re talented. And there is talent on this roster. I feel confident that in time this board will realize a coaching change is needed. But sadly the administration will move slower than this board!

Some fans had wondered what caused Deuce to take the 50-foot shot when there were still four seconds left. I can only speculate, but I'm guessing in the heat of the moment, the high school rule was in his mind. Under NFHS rules, the clock does not stop after a made basket. With those rules, he would have caught the inbound with less than two seconds left. But with college rules, when he caught the inbound pass, he still had almost five seconds left - time to dribble well into the offensive end, or time to get a pass to an open player for a shot.

I’m curious what was relayed from the bench prior to Paul’s foul shot. What direction was given regarding defense and what will happen if Navy scores.

Pretty impressive to have two freshmen lead the scoring in just the second game of the season, with Turner scoring 15 and Screen adding 11. I wonder when that last happened.
Bryson Johnson led Bucknell with 18 in his first game (on six threes, naturally). No freshmen from that mighty class were in the top two scorers in the next game though.

I was also wondering when was the last time the Bison played games on consecutive days in two different locations. I think I know the answer but will throw it out there for you to chew on.

Agree, wasn't the No. Iowa a bracket buster scheduled late but in Lewisburg; GM was in Washington DC
