Great news. This definitely fills a major need. Too bad it didn’t happen a week earlier. He probably would’ve made the difference in the second game.
I don’t see him starting anytime soon, but I do see him being better than Ellis once he gets his feet wet.

Something about an issue around how one or more of his credits transferred?

Having Latimer available is obviously a positive thing. However I’d caution fans to not expect too much from him. His skill set and size is quite similar to that of Ellis. The one difference may be that he will create somewhat more offense inside the arc and may play slightly better defense.
As for attacking the rim, last year Ellis played 573 minutes. In that time, he attempted 26 two-point shots - some of which were fast breaks. That amounts to one two-point attempt every 22 minutes on the floor. He also amazingly had zero offensive rebounds for the year. While Walter seems to have improved a bit so far this year, he still is largely a catch and shoot wing who does not drive or look for pull-up jumpers. .

Based on the performance and success of the first two games, they need any and all help.
