Hesitated to post this, but since the game article went up felt like the jinx was off.

Apparently we will have 4 players unfortunately all in the frontcourt with Meeks, Screen, Rhodes and Timmerman out. Hopefully Newman stays out of foul trouble and is ready to play big minutes or else Walter and JVDH are playing the 5??

If we pull off even a split in these circumstances we are doing great.

Sechan is in the projected starters for senior day tomorrow which is a nice touch.

A split would be a miracle with both Screen and Meeks out. Hopefully the "covid protocol" that is keeping them out ends shortly. Doesn't sound like they have tested positive however.

I see that Josh Adoh is available for the first time. With the short bench, I imagine he will see a few minutes. I'm not optimistic but maybe he can be a contributor.

Unbelievable.

Check that...all too ridiculously believable.

With Meeks and Screen out, I don’t see any possible way a victory occurs for the Bison.

Not sure if it's been noted that if Lehigh upsets Lafayette twice over the weekend then the Bison win the mini-conference and walk away with the 3rd seed - regardless of what they do vs American.

I don't see that happening, but you never know.

If you want to make some money, apparently the DraftKings line on the game still has Bucknell favored by 4 points. If that is accurate, get down your wager on Ameican and then hope for a Bison win by less than four. Then you get a big payday and a big Bison upset.

Anyone in NJ or PA can use that site.

Whoa there's a pregame show on!

Coach said last full practice was Feb 2 and first full practice after the shutdown was Feb 25 (Thursday).

I don’t understand how Covid protocol forces them to miss practices/games but allows them to be on the sideline, in huddles, high-fiving, etc....

So the players that are out of the game are still in the gym? Not sure I'm following the thought process there.

I agree. I wonder if it has to do with wearing a mask vs. not wearing a mask.

And Latimer runs off the floor in the middle of a play because he has to throw up from the looks of it. Good thing Adoh is back I guess.

Yes! WTH is with that? Referring to the fact that the four out players seem to be able to do everything but play.

Funk having a terrible shooting game when his team could least afford it. Harris also shooting poorly for American but he’s been able to contribute in other ways, such as his 8 assists.

Man, Turner can score! I guess that shouldn't surprise me. Just needs to step up the D and learn when to pass.

Two huge offensive rebounds allowed by Bucknell in the last 35 seconds. This followed a suspect offensive possession by Bucknell. Then down 5, Xander wastes time dribbling up the floor and drives a bit out of control and love an inside pass for Newman with seven seconds remaining...seems a pass or two for a 3 is the play there given the time remaining. Not a good final 45 seconds.

They ran out of gas the last 10 minutes. Missed foul shots, gave up offensive rebounds, slower to loose balls.

Rebounding is awful with the players we have out and Newman in foul trouble. Funk missed more foul shots in the 1st half than the rest of the season combined I believe. Turner looked completely out of sorts a day after scoring 21. Rough start.

Only thing worse than Bucknell performance is Jimmy Pastos's announcing.

As a coach I would play Adoh until he fouled out before I would play JVSoft another minute. Newman has one foul (?)...is he hurt? How many layups is above gonna give up because he gets so out of position on p&r’s? Guy back cuts, he doesn’t see the ball...another layup. Soft under the basket on both ends and jacks up crazy 3’s.

The idea that any player in any position can take any shot at anytime is anathema to me. We’re not Villanova and furthermore the reason they can is they only do it off the extra pass with their feet set.

Can’t win taking these kind of rushed 3’s. Get to the hoop UNDER CONTROL and commit or kick

Newman got his 2nd foul at the 11 minute mark. Cane back for a few minutes after the timeout, but that's it.

Bison end up as the 6 seed and will travel to Lafayette for the first PLT game this Saturday. At least they avoided the play-in round and will have more time to prepare and get healthy.

And ended up with one of the shorter trips in the Patriot League. Unlike #10 Lehigh at #7 Boston University and #9 Loyola at #8 Holy Cross!

This sounds crazy, but I spent the afternoon at the James A. Michner Art Museum in Doylestown. It seems that it was much more enjoyable than watching the Bison play. I didn't yell at the TV even one time yesterday!
