That is probably a level that Nathan Davis and staff are focusing on. Not much travel involved for recruiting, and not much competition. A perfect combination.
In all seriousness, they need to land at least one recruit quickly. There are virtually no good high school players remaining, so the only real option to improve the team is to find a transfer. If they end up bringing in another high school player, it will be a really bad sign.

Meeks to the College of Charleston.
Jordan Sechan is joining Meeks at Charleston. Charlotte has had 12 players announce they are transferring out, so there is lots of room at the inn.
CofC’s coach Earl Grant left to take the BC job last month, with Winthrop’s successful coach, Pat Kelsey then taking the CofC job.

Keeping our best players will help. Wonder when Screen enters the portal?

I don’t see an issue with CoC...supposedly beautiful city, decent program with an up-and-coming coach....good for them.

Can we get some updated stats on the Transfer Portal?
Per VC, there are 1680 players listed in the portal. Of those, 1060 have new homes while 620 are still uncommitted.
The number still looking for a new spot is undoubtedly less than 620. A few things to keep in mind:
- VC's list didn't catch every new commitment.
- Some players end up going to lower level schools (D2, D3, NAIA, jucos) and don't announce anything publicly.
- A number of so-so graduating seniors, who suddenly were given an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA, put their names into the portal even though it was unlikely they would find a new home. Hoping for a D3 spot or a guaranteed walk-on position.
- Some players had academic issues which they may be trying to work out in summer school before they can officially commit.

Can a player in the portal sit out a year, play in a summer league, and then commit later in the year or next year? I’m sure there are some who did not like their options and are waiting to see if anything better arises next year.
