Not much consolation, but Mike was actually OKC's top player. Hit 1-1 on twos, 3-7 on threes, and 1-1 on FTs for 12 points in 17 minutes. Also 5 rebounds.
Btw, OKC's top five players all were -40 or worse, all in fairly limited minutes. Mike was a mere -21.

Mike is currently fourth on the team in scoring, at 8.6 ppg, but only eleventh in minutes at 14.6.

Mike went into the NBA history books last night. Unfortunately it was due to being on the losing side of the biggest margin ever with the Thunder losing by 73 to the Grizzlies.
In another Patriot League connection from the game, Santi Aldama from Loyola had his first real standout NBA performance on the winning side with 18 pts, 10 rebounds and an almost unbelievable +52 plus/minus.
Mike actually had an OK game with 12 pts, 5 reb in 17 minutes. And he was "only" -21.

Mike hit the game winning 3 with 9 seconds left in a 1 point win at Toronto. He only shot 2-6 but hit the one that mattered.

How does one get a collapsed lung?

Impact blow to the chest in the fourth quarter of the Celtics game. Initially thought to be bruised ribs. Unusual, but not unheard of in basketball, more common in football (Gronkowski’s recent injury).

I realize they are in a complete rebuild but Mike scores prolifically with limited minutes. Why isn’t he on the court more?

Lots of teams need bigs who can shoot the 3. I am surprised that he has not been traded to a contender.

Well it is still early in the season…I imagine if Mike continues to shoot well he will be traded.

I believe that players who signed contracts during the off season are not eligible for trades until Dec. 15 so they couldn't have moved him until yesterday, assuming they wanted to. I might have the details wrong, but there's some sort of provision.

You've got it essentially correct. The first date most free agents can be traded is December 15th- or three months after signing if that date is later.
The other issue for Mike is his defense - which is not stellar. Still he definitely should have some value for a contender. His December stats look like this:
78 minutes
52 points
6-9 on twos
11-24 on threes
19 rebounds
For the year, he is hitting 44.3% (35-79) on threes.

Muscala showing what it means to be a successful Pro...Master one skill and be a good teammate when you're playing and when you're getting benched for two weeks at a time. For a guy who dominated almost every game he played until he graduated Bucknell, very impressive to mold himself into such a valuable role player in the most competitive Profession in the world. The number of men to EVER play in the NBA is just above 4,000. We at Bucknell have one. And one that has stuck for a decade plus. Im sure we all are, but we should be very proud and not take for granted how incredible he is.

I couldn’t agree more Scotty. Those were special years for the Patriot League with Mike and CJ both playing.

I remember an interview of Jim Calhoun, the HC of UConn, prior to the 2009 NCAA tournament game. The interviewer asked Calhoun about Muscala and he immediately replied (and I'm paraphrasing):
"Muscala will be pro and play in the NBA for 10 years."
This was Muscala's sophomore year at Bucknell. Calhoun coached a number of NBA players at UConn so he knew what talent was needed to play in the League. He saw something in Muscala as early as his sophomore year that frankly I did not see at the time (and likely many other Bucknell fans did not see as well).
Kudos to Muscala for putting in the work to have a long and productive NBA career.
